Acrylic on canvas. I entitled this work breaking through because of the following. This was completed at a time where I had sad news about people I love. All the colors overlapping each other represent the tumultuous environment that emotions create, rendering at times our life chaotic: happiness, pain, anger, joy, love, passion ... One only needs an instant to feel an emotion, and move to the next one. The yellow lines represent the bridge that links all emotions together and maintain one's emotional equilibrium. They represent the light of hope within the darkness, and the path to being the best one can be. They're somewhat organized, straight, loyal, yet not rigid, accommodating to their surroundings to make oneself a better human being in the pursuit of daily happiness.
